Smart drying system with UV-C hygiene for hearing aids
The Dry-Cap UV 4 from Flow Med is an advanced and safe drying system specifically developed for the maintenance of all types of hearing aids and their charging stations. With a smart combination of gentle ventilation, heat up to 38°C, and powerful UV-C disinfection, this system removes moisture, cerumen, and bacteria that can impair the function of hearing aids.
Drying is carried out in a controlled manner via a fan and a mildly heated airflow, preventing damage to sensitive components. The SMART mode automatically determines the correct drying time based on the room's temperature and humidity (90, 120, or 180 minutes). For intensive drying, there is the MAX mode of 4 hours, ideal for situations with high humidity or heavy perspiration.
The four UV-C LEDs (275 nm) guarantee an effective hygiene treatment: within 5 minutes, 99.99% of all bacteria, viruses, and fungi are removed. This happens automatically at the beginning and end of the drying cycle, even if the devices are removed in between.
The Dry-Cap UV 4 is compatible with all (rechargeable) hearing aids, works worldwide thanks to the included USB adapter with four plugs, and features a USB-C port to simultaneously dry and charge hearing aids. The device complies with the European MDR directive (EU 2017/745) for Class I medical devices.
